Amazing piece of equipment. Family of 4 on the ice 8 times a week at a minimum. This has saved us so much time going to the pro shop and also money. So nice to just pull it on the table and do all the kids skates in a matter of minutes for the weekend. So easy to use and the app is amazing. Love how I can have a profile for each of my kids, tells me when there skates were last sharpened and also what radius. So far I can't get enough of using this machine. So satisfying just watching them sharpen. Never gets old. Looking forward to taking it to our first tournament and use at the hotel while having a few beers with the other parents. A++

Got the Pro Bundle—awesome quality components. In hindsight, I probably would have gone with a smaller bundle since we only have seven skaters in our home, and the Pro base isn’t super practical. That said, it sharpens skates really well once you get the depth dialed in.

Figure skates are a bit of a pain. The adapters are finicky—they work, but for the price, I expected a simpler solution.

The beam laser is super cool. Not a necessity, but if you have the cash, I recommend it. Twice now, we’ve had slight uneven spots that the beam caught, which looked perfectly fine to the eye after the initial sharpening.

The best accessory in the bundle, hands down, is the carrying case. I expected a cheap, flimsy bag, but it’s rock solid. I have zero concerns about damage to the machine during transport. Even the zippers are way higher quality than expected—similar to the rope bags we used back in my tree removal days.

The one thing I don’t love is the pricing for grinding wheels. It’s reasonable compared to paying a shop to sharpen, but it drastically increases the payback period. I’m sure some one factored in the “time saved” argument as a sales tool, but that doesn’t really hold up for us. I'd rather they just charge more for the machine one time. Also, the wheels seem to wear down faster than advertised based on my first month of use. We’ll see how they hold up over time, but at $85 CAD plus shipping each, they’re more than double the cost of diamond grinding discs used for carbide…

I play hockey and coach my daughters U12 and U7 ringette teams.

My son is a U9 goalie.

Combined we have about 10 ice times a week at least.

I did an original 4 cycles my first sharpen then a single cycle every 3 ice times.

That way my blades are always sharp and help me demo’s for the kids.

Saves us time and easy to use and also lets us use our skating tiles at home as skates have to be sharpened after every time after using those tiles.

Took me couple hours for initial setup and profiles for everyone’s skates, 5 pairs (YouTube beam and barcode setup). But now it’s just 3 minutes a sharpen and I don’t have to leave the house.

Only complaint is I wish they let you pick your own grinding wheels in the bundle package, as I’d like a 9/16 for my son. (Goalie)
